Seeking skulls...ed./sc. permit
Hi All, We currently have a educational/scientific permit to collect any licensed, deceased snakes for a current project. The skulls of the animals will be used in a mounted resource for use at displays and educational talks for our non-profit Herp club. We are licensed to do this for the next 5 years. We are interested in all species of snakes and pythons in particular but all reps will be considered. If you have anything you can pass onto us, we are happy to provide details and will forward appropriate permit numbers etc then. PM if youu have anything you can pass on.
Thanks
Tan
PS I will be in Sydney for the expo so if anyone wants to pass on specimens then I can collect at the expo.

Yes sorry Brett, just ammended post above. All reps will be considered and 2 of each species will be used ultimately - one juvenile and one adult specimen. Frozen is the preferred condition we would like them in so that we can conduct chemical maceration.
Cheers
Tan

Prep them with dermestid beetles and use the smallest larvae for the small skeletons. Here's a photo of a hummingbird done with dermestids.
And with a Bourke's parrot (dermestid) and gull (found on beach) for comparison...
Don't have a colony myself as I rarely prep things anymore, but they are very useful for a project such as yours.
