Hi geckodan,
The animals are from a friend but if i'm not wrong the food for the flies are made by:
-Muesli with different fruits
-Brewer's yeast (?? I'm don't know the exactly name in english)
-Hot water (but you have to wait until put the mix in the vessels)
-Vinegar
-Some ripen banana pieces
-2-3 honney tablespoonfuls

You mix all this ingredients and add the flakes (the dry form) you use to do mashes potatoes (I hope that has any sense for you....haha I'm sorry but I don't know all this "kitchen" vocabulary ). You have to get a perfect composition, not dry and not too wet, you have to see that if you move the receptacle the mix doesn't move too much.
(I have to say that exists too many differents ways and ingredients to made this composition, this is just one but you have to find the better for you.)

Then you put 2 fingers of the mix in a vessel and shredded aspen material. After that and one of the most important things...how to cover the vessels. Well, my friend use a thin filter (the same that you can find for the coffemakers) and after that a woman panty(tights?).

I think a picture can talk on his own

For dendrobates it's very important to add different vitamins too:

You can find more information on Youtube or internet who can help you better than my explanation...
