they usually don't eat for up to a couple of weeks before a shed, that may ya reason, if ya only had him for a few weeks, may still be settling in also. just got me a new hatchi that hasn't moved outa his hide for about a week now. sounds normal.

More than likely it's temp related. What is the cool side temp getting down to at the coldest part of the day ie: 5-6 AM ?

Also what size tub/cage was it kept in before you got it?

Could have just been the shed , but could also be numerous things ..
How often are you handling/playing with it ? I would suggest no handling at all till its eating fine for you .

What was it kept it when you got it , id assume a smallish plastic tub , if thats the case and my snake i'd put it back in a small tub till its eating fine .

How are you offering food , what was it being fed before you got it ?
I would contact the breeder and ask whst his feeding techniques were .

could well be temp related

I didnt feed my SW over winter last year but hes been a bit perkier this winter and ive given him a few small feeds but thats an adult

I dont actually provide any heat except for 6 hours (10-4) in winter

and ive been surprised how active the snake still gets in the evenings

a guy at work his stimson hasnt fed for a while especially with this colder than normal winter
